Our a/c broke, and Mom and I have been camping out in our bonus room, which has its own a/c. Too bad I don't fit under the pool table anymore like I did when I was little. It was my own personal fort.
Anyway, you can imagine it's been a riot, having these sleepovers every night.
Last night she wanted me to be her own personal clapper. She'd clap (and wouldn't just *clap* but would SAY "Clap, Clap" AS she was clapping), then say, "Can you shut the door?"
Then a few minutes later, clap and say, "Can you shut out my light?"

I wish I could join one of your sleepovers. I can totally picture it! And what do you mean, you don't fit under the pool table anymore? Oh yea, because you're totally Fatty McFat Fat. I want proof that you don't fit, my pocket-sized friend.
That is delightful! I LOVE that she said clap instead of clapping.
Incidentally, I've ALWAYS wanted a clapper, ever since I was a little kid and would see the commercials. Clearly, my laziness was early-onset.
Also delightful: you guys have a bonus room with its own air conditioning...
Ah... I love your blog so much... why? Because I love you and your mom so much! I laugh out loud every time I read it. Miss you both!
Wendy, it's been too many years since we've all done a sleepover. Come on down! And it's not so much that I don't fit, but that I can't toss and turn all that easily under there. I'll see if I can take a picture, though.
Liz, not nearly as cool as you'd think; it's more because our house is old and doesn't have an a/c for each level. One for the house minus the bonus room, and one for the bonus room.
Laura, and we love YOU! You're a riot! And I love your blog, too! Makes me want to cook more. And have a cool husband and cute kid, but that clearly isn't happening . . . Miss you, too! And we should fix that, since you live closeby . . .
