"Love Means Nothing"

I have this fantastic t-shirt that says "Love Means Nothing" on it. I wore it Saturday night when a few of us went to CPK for dinner, and Heather said something like, "Gee, you're kinda bitter." I was shocked!

Apparently, she didn't quite get the clever sports joke behind the t-shirt. The O in Love is a tennis ball--it's pink, not flourescent yellow-green--so it's essentially tennis humor.

Maybe tennis humor isn't funny, but I love my clever t-shirt.

Wow! You just made me sound like a total jerk! I didn't say it, I thought it, then after you explained what it meant, I told you, "good, because I was worried you were bitter!" or something like that! :)

The tennis ball should be yellow. Because it's pink, it looks like a basketball (Dawn concurs!). Once you get it, it's a funny shirt, but if you don't...well, people just think you're a bitter betty. :)

Yeah for confusing shirts! :)

I think it's funny but don't know if I would get the tennis humor. However, I do love love love tennis!

Can't wait to see you for dinner soon!

I respect the tennis humor. I have had many similar t shirts in my life, and it is always enlightening to see who understands them. Usually it leads to a conversation about Sampras vs. Agassi or Federer vs. Nadal, or how Roddick can be so good looking and why that doesn't translate to consistency on the court.

Even if it wasn't about tennis, it's ok to be bitter about love. I want to get that shirt for my mom because we always challenge my parents to tennis when we visit.

You need come back here. Me miss you.

Heather, I'm so sorry I made you sound like a jerk! I'll make it up to you--I swear. You're so not, and you know I love you. You're blunt, and you know I love that about you.

Nicole, you rock. And I need you to either post more comments on my blog or post more on your blog; you're hilarious and I need that more often. Yes, I'm selfish. =)

Wendy, I love your "it's okay to be bitter about love" stance, especially since, you know, you're married and all.
