Ah, Kids . . .

I think I should just have Wendy post from here on out. Good stuff, huh? The dear is also the new, proud Mom to an adorable little girl, Nadia. Props, Wendy! (double props for going the natural-birth route!)

Anyway, the other point of this post. I'm going through my Inbox and trying to clean it up a bit and answer emails that are long overdue. I came across one from my cousin Jocee from a while back. She'd sent me this picture of her 4-ish daughter Sage following me while doing some yoga.

Also in the email was a hilarious little story. Jocee and her husband were getting ready to go to the temple for Ward Temple night when Jocee was explaining to Sage how she was wearing nice clothes, doing her hair all pretty, and putting on makeup so her face would look gorgeous, etc.

Sage: Oh, so Grandma (Jo) can't go to the temple?
Jocee: No, she can. Why do you say that?
Sage: Oh, because she has an ugly face so she can't go.
Jocee: No, she has a pretty face, Sage.
Sage: No Mom, it's really ugly.

The side note is that Grandma Jo always tells Sage how she is so gorgeous and looks like she has makeup on when she wakes up in the morning--she wishes she were pretty like Sage and goes on and on (it's a Jergensen trait). So now Sage thinks Grandma Jo must be ugly. Ahhh, little-kid logic!

Oh my dear goodness! How old was this child when that conversation took place? That's too funny. And I love it when kids imitate adults doing yoga. Holden was too little to follow along so he just laughed at my poses every time I did pre-natal workouts.

Three of my cute nephews did some Zumba with me once, and it was just too adorable.

I love little kids!

Remind me some time when I'm not so busy to tell you about how sad my nephew thought it was that I'm single.
