I Have Wanted Items

My sister often walks through our house with an eye for what she wants. The other day, she saw my new Flip and said, "Ooooh, I want that." And not in the, It'd be nice to have one, but in the, I want YOURS sort of way. Too bad I already use it and love it.

Later that day, we were up in my room and she looked around my room . . . "I want your bedroom furniture. It'd be perfect for Jack's room."

"Okay, you're buying me new stuff, then!"

She didn't take me up on that. But I'm not quite sure what it says about my bedroom furniture when it might be perfect for a 2-year-old boy . . .

Your room doesn't make me think of a 2 year old but it is a neat, sporty room. You SHOULD give him your furniture and maybe he'll grow up and share some of his favorite aunt's tastes and attributes. It's like brainwashing but not the evil kind.

Forget furniture--who needs furniture when you have the Flip??

I seriously covet it as well. I'm working on getting past those feelings, but sheesh--I want one of those suckers!

But doesn't it feel nice to be so wanted?

Ha ha! You two are so funny. First off, I love the not-evil brainwashing. And Liz, maybe if *I* were wanted instead of my *stuff*, it'd feel nice. =)

Granted, I know just about everyone who plays the guitar covets my Taylor 814ce, and I've learned to deal with that . . . touche!

Well, people want you as well, it's just that your stuff seems less inappropriate to comment on, I'm sure.

Maybe you should just get up in church and ask who covets you so that you can know for sure. A simple show of hands should suffice.

Liz, I love you for your many, many reasons. Far more than three-fold. And this is yet one of the many reasons why: your wit. How I wish I could pull that off (maybe right after I teach Sunday School, perhaps?), but I'm too scared to do it for fear that NO hands will go up.

Ummmm, covet!!! Flip cameras are AWESOME. I miss playing with our work one from my old job.

And I don't think your furniture is perfect for a 2-year-old boy... unless I somehow missed a car-shaped bed?
