Part of the problem with this new front-loading washer, apparently, is that you can't clean underneath it! I guess it has to stay balanced and level in order for it to work perfectly. This absolutely kills my mom, since you can't shimmy it out and clean around and behind and underneath it. In fact, her sister, Peg, got one of these first, and my mom called Peg when she figured this out:
Mom: "PEG! You can't clean under these things?!"
Peg: "I know! Isn't it the WORST?"
Mom: "And you still bought it? And let me buy one?"
Peg (totally serious): "I know. It's awful."

But those washers are so great! Besides, if you don't move it, it's probably not TOO dirty underneath...right? That's what I keep telling myself.
I never get under my regular washer to clean it though. I guess I could. It has never occurred to me before.
