Las Brisas, Every Time

Every time Fred comes into town, we do Las Brisas. No, really. EVERY time.

You might have seen a new profile picture on Facebook, which happens every time he comes into town and immediately following their fantastic all-you-can-eat brunch. And why not--he's such a handsome guy! (not to mention hilarious and one of my best friends ever--love him! Thank the high heavens he mentioned St. Anthony in his Sacrament Meeting talk all those years ago, the tiny town in Idaho where his mom grew up, and where my mom grew up, too--that started this whole friendship)

I didn't know that's how you became friends. Seriously, I don't think I've ever heard St. Anthony mentioned in a talk. That's awesome.

I don't know what to do about the permanent Las Brisas craving, especially since I don't see it getting satisfied anytime soon. Maybe Mimi's or Kneaders? Not the same but might have to do for now.

I suspected you guys were out for Las Brisas, but I didn't know the location well enough to be sure. I was, however, pretty darn sure that you guys had gone out for food SOMEWHERE.

So glad that you guys are able to keep in touch--the best of friends always are.

KNEADERS! Always Kneaders if it's a choice between the two, and you know how much I'm a fan of the man behind Mimi's these days, but definitely Kneaders. And get your booty back here to CA so we can go to Las Brisas and cure the craving the proper way.

Liz, I love that you know Fred and me well enough to know there's going to be food involved. Who can turn down an all-you-can-eat brunch on the beach? Heaven knows I can't!

And yes, I absolutely treasure my continuing friendship with that boy. Life would not be nearly as much fun without him.
