I'm at work and doing some research for Comcast prior to a call with them. I came across a typo domain--wwwcomcast.com, so it's missing the "." in between the www and "comcast"--and saw that it was redirecting to a random site instead of the usual typosquatting sites (parked pages, competitor redirects, affiliate fraud, etc.). So I typed it in and, lo and behold, the domain points to harvest.org and, more specifically, to a "How to Know God" landing page.
Admittedly, I'm a religious person and I love getting the word out, but really? Typosquatting on a cable company?
As my co-worker said, "It's a means to an end! Cybersquatting to get the Word out! Nice."
(Yes, I realize this is quite possibly the nerdiest post ever. You're my friends, you know this about me, and I think you still love me, so I thank you.)
