When it comes to my church wardrobe, I don't have many options. I have about four skirts right now and three dresses. I've had those four skirts for anywhere from 5-8 years, and the dresses for about 3-5 years. But church clothes are the hardest for me to find and I really don't like to spend much time shopping, anyway, so it's been basically the same combination of outfits for the better part of a decade (hey, I've even had one pair of church shoes since I was 18!).
What does this mean? Well, it means that I need to apologize to anyone and everyone who sees me at church on a semi-consistent basis.
Secondly, you can imagine my joy--and complete and utter shock--when I get a compliment on a dress or skirt. It gets me by for another couple of years. Which may or may not be a good thing.

You've always been a fabulous dresser, so I'm sure your small collection of church clothes are quite cute (I actually think that is the perfect amount). I know what you mean though. I just recently bought some new church dresses and skirts a few months ago. Up until then I was still wearing the clothes I wore when you and I went to church together over 8 years ago. I would actually still be wearing those same clothes, but after 3 kids it was time to stop pretending that I have the same size hips :) I'm not a big fan of shopping either.
Aw, you're sweet, Tracy--thanks! And I love that you were still wearing the same clothes for so long; practicality is fantastic. :) And props on the new church wardrobe--maybe I'll be brave and follow suit and get a few new things!
