When clicking on the weather for Laguna Hills, California--yes, I like to punish myself--I'll see something like SEVERE WEATHER WARNING! Do you know what that means? Most of the time, absolutely nothing. Perhaps some wind. Perhaps some rain. But really, anything severe is rare. Then we get the fires or the mudslides or earthquakes or something really drastic every five-to-ten years or so to make up for the lack of complete non-weather for so long.
But if you watch the news, you'd get a whole different image, seeing something like, STORM WATCH 2008, only to find out you'll be getting an 1/8th of an inch of rain. It's awesome.
I miss home.
