It's official: We landed our first client on Friday! Woo-HOO! It's a VERY good client, which means all of our very hard, very-unpaid work, will hopefully be very-unpaid work for not too much longer. We're feeling pretty official now, although it means we've got another big chunk of work to actually DO THE WORK for the client, instead of just landing the client. But I'm excited! YAY!
To get a good idea of what we do, check out our website at www.aliasencore.com/ and type in some big-name internet retailer--like nordstrom.com, ticketmaster.com, etc.--to see screenshots of trademark-infringing domains. We recover those on behalf of clients, increasing their site's traffic by 2-5% and upping their revenues a good chunk--pretty cool stuff!

Niiiiiiiiiice.
YAY!!! Congratulations!!
Now you just need to get a client out here so that you can come consult and eat good food...mmm...cafe rio misses you...
way cool...i'm going to check out the site to learn more. very interesting!
Once you start getting paid, will your picture be on the website too?
Liz, I think you're a genius. And I know the President of Cafe Rio (used to be in the Laguna Hills III Ward!), so why not? =)
JoceeB! We do the same thing I did at CitizenHawk (my boss here founded CitizenHawk in 2006), but we just do it a bit better and cheaper at Alias Encore. =)
Wendy, ha ha! Even though my title is "Business Development Manager" I highly doubt I'm C-level material at this point. Maybe in a few years. Or many longer than a few.
And now we have TWO clients. Woo!
I went to your website. I saw that you are hiring. Sadly I am underqualified...too bad you don't need a corporate trainer...or someone who is really good at taking naps... :)
Bring on the fulfillment!
Liz, you'd be surprised how well you fit in at Alias Encore: neither of us are ever up before 8 am, and usually we're up around 10am. We just schedule our calls after 10:30am. =) It's hilarious when G and I will be a few minutes on a conference call and say, "You just get up, too?" "Yep." "We should warm up our voices, then, so they can't tell." "Or they'll just think we've caught that bug everyone else's been sick with."
