I belong to a Facebook group that honors Brother Fluhman's awesomeness: "J. Spencer Fluhman is my hero!" It's true. There's a discussion board with classic quotes, so I'm going to share them with you since I've been laughing out loud for the last five minutes reading them. Brooke and Nancy will get an extra kick out of this since they'll be able to hear him in their heads. Maybe Holly will be able to, too, having gone with me once to class. =)
"It's an arrow in your quiver of knowledge... you can pull it out and shoot down ignorance."
(When introducing the course and going over the syllabus)
"What's this? No reading for Thursday or Tuesday and then we go to the library to watch a movie? Is this a religion class or a party?"
"I don't know if we'll finish the course." (he has a knack for getting behind since he's . . . chatty, and goes off on these awesome tangents)
"You throw it out there and I bite like a hungry fish."
"I'm a victim of my own loquacity."
"Pilgrims were separatists and for reasons not entirely clear they wore their belt buckles on their heads."
