Named After Steak

I watched a first-season episode (or two or three) of Alias with Lyndsey the other night, and there was this exchange on the show, talking about Kobe Bryant.

FRANCIE: Did you know his parents named him after steak? Kobe. They saw it on a Japanese menu.
SYDNEY: No, I didn't know that.
FRANCIE: He's the perfect guy for someone like me. Plays ball, and is named after food.

Lyndsey then said something like, "We need to find a guy like that for you!"

So true.

Haha, that just makes me think of your Kobe - he plays ball, right? ;)

I have a down syndrome brother named Colby (but pronounced the same as Kobe). Where I come from in Hawaii, we have a dish called Kalbi chicken. So his nickname for years was "Kalbi chicken" or maybe just "chicken" or "bawk bawk". He's awesome, you'd like him.

Christa, you are so right!

And Jacob. There's my best friend's husband, always looking out for me! =)

I love Alias.

And yes, that is the perfect kind of man for you.

Only not exactly like Kobe Bryant...he's a bit skanky.

Yes, a skanky-free, ball-playing, named-after-food man. With maybe a hint of Michael Vartan, and also in a suit.
