Y'all know how Mom and I have some of the strangest mother-daughter conversations? Conversations that mothers probably never have to have with their daughters? "Wear more makeup!" "Wear more jewelry!" And a few years ago it was, "Wear tighter clothes! Show more skin!" but I think I've finally appeased her there. A decade ago it was, "Roll up your shorts--they're WAY too long!" Good times. Anyway, tonight she had another great one. I went to Institute and when I came home, she greeted me with this:
"I forbid you to go again." Pause. "You shouldn't have to listen to those same stories over and over and over again. You've gone for so many years! Let's just listen to Fluhman!"

I need to meet this woman. She sounds like a riot!
Love all of your mom's quotes. Hilarious!
I still don't know what to think about that phone call... I absolutely love your mom!
